The RecycleBalls QUICKSHIP Program

The RecycleBalls QUICKSHIP Program provides organization partners (facilities, schools or tennis communities) all the materials needed to implement a comprehensive tennis ball recycling solution including instructions, collection bins, customized posters (example below on right), and publicity information. We have even arranged for automatic pickup with pre-paid UPS shipping labels attached to every bin.

Why should organizations get involved?
RecycleBalls partners with qualified tennis organizations in the United States by providing an easy and convenient turnkey QUICKSHIP Program for collecting used tennis balls. The balls are recycled into new court surfaces or re-purposed. By keeping tennis balls out of landfills, we “Make Yellow the New Green on Every Tennis Court.” ™ For players, this means court-side convenience. For tennis facilities, this means a quick and easy way to provide an instant GREEN value to your entire tennis community and be part of the solution. As a 501(C)3 non-profit, we also provide an annual tax deduction receipt for every ball donated. For the environment, this means less toxic landfill. Everyone wins!

Is there a cost or an investment? 
No, None. The RecycleBalls QUICKSHIP Program is designed to be self-supporting for partner facilities. We may ask you to donate a part of your tax deduction benefit. This is optional.

What is included in the program?
Facility partners receive:

– A Setup package of 10 QUICKSHIP Bins, a poster kit, and instructions.
– A monthly newsletter.
– Automatic replacement of full bins with new bins.
– A dedicated RecycleBalls contact person to ensure success.
– Additional materials and tools to promote the program.
– Green Ball Awards at 3,000, 5000 and 10,000 balls donated
– A tax deduction for every ball donated.

How can tennis organizations qualify?
To qualify, organizations must complete our application (above), have at least four tennis courts, be willing to place a bin directly on every indoor court, designate a dedicated CHAMPION to manage the program and promote our mission of recycling all tennis balls.

How are the balls shipped and tracked?
Full bins need to be brought to the front desk or anywhere UPS ships, where they will be automatically picked up by UPS without further notice. An automated system continuously ensures optimum inventory levels. Court-side bins typically fill up in 3-6 weeks.

What are my used tennis balls worth as a tax deduction?
As an example, if you donate 10,000 tennis balls over the course of the year and you choose to value these at $.40 each, then this could be a $4,000 tax deduction. We provide a tax deduction receipt at the end of every year.

Who assigns a value to the tennis balls for my tax deduction? 
The IRS requires the donor (you) to assign values to non-cash charitable donations.
