ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
RecycleBalls was founded as an innovative, youth-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to recycle every tennis ball in the United States.
We’re not your typical nonprofit, we apply best practices from manufacturing and distribution to achieve our goals quickly and efficiently. The shared nature of our mission has inspired tennis players of every age to get involved. Since our start in 2017, a growing national network of over 5000 partners and individuals is now spearheading a first-of-its-kind positive change for U.S. tennis leading by example and ensuring that tennis in the U.S. continues to be a green sport. By the end of 2022, the Reyeballs network will have kept 10 million tennis balls out of US landfills.
We are a collection solution
Recycleballs is the first organization in U.S. tennis history with a large-scale scalable collection solution for all played tennis balls in this country. Our patented QUICKSHIP bin/program is the simplest way for individuals and facilities around the nation to recycle tennis balls. Not only does the program provide pre-paid shipping but in addition provides a tax donation for every ball donated.
We are a recycling solution
In 2017, after two years of R&D, we initiated the patent pending “Play it Green” machine. This first-of-its-kind machine is capable of removing 99% of the felt from Tennis balls at high speeds. The resulting product is called RecycleBalls Green Gold – a unique crumb rubber product, made from tennis balls, that is used in the fabrication of new tennis courts and horse arenas. |
Recycling is the future of U.S. tennis and presents our industry with a significant opportunity.
